Please note there is a cliffhanger and it is not a standalone story. You will need to continue the series to find out what is next in store for Sadie and Logan.

So so good! I don't think I have ever enjoyed a novella for a series as much as I enjoyed this one.

This novella was very fast paced. At times I had forgotten that this was a novella and not a full length novel. Of course, I remembered when it was over way too quickly, and left me wanting more.

Denial begins where Disclosure (book two) left off. Which was perfect because Disclosure ended on a cliffhanger. And we all have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers; they keep you in suspense, but sometimes, as in this case, the suspense is just too much! Thankfully, I got my hands on this novella so some of my unanswered questions could be resolved. 

As the synopsis above states, this is a novella, but it is one you should definitely read if you are continuing on with teh series. A lot of times, novellas serve as just an optional read if you want a little more insight. This novella, however, is so much more than that.

The synopsis also warns readers that there is yet another cliffhanger, and it is a pretty fantastic cliffhanger at that.

So, if you haven't yet read any of the Saven series, you really should. It has everything you could want in a series, including aliens (a personal favorite of mine :D).

Wow!

Again I am amazed by Siobhan Davis. I had really enjoyed the first book of the series, but this second book I enjoyed even more! Which, is quite amazing really because normally I prefer the first book in a series over the rest of it.

But before I go too much into the book, can we please take a moment to appreciate that beautiful cover?

Now, moving on...

Saven Disclosure was the perfect second installment to the series. There was never a dull moment, and thanks to Davis' clever use of foreshadowing, the plot always kept you guessing what would happen next.

In this novel, we are reintroduced to characters from the previous novel, as well as introduced to new characters. For one, I especially liked the introduction of the Amaretti, a new alien race. And while on the subject of characters, I must say one of the things I love about Davis' writing is how she develops her characters. To be honest, I was not a huge fan of Sadie during the first book. I had liked her enough, but I found her to be a tad immature and overemotional. However, in this book, we see Sadie undergo a sort of personal growth and move away from being that way. I find that I actually like her a lot more now.

This series has everything, action, love, adventure, intrigue. And the fact that it is more in the science fiction genre is a huge plus for me.

And the ending! I have one word for you: cliffhanger

I look forward to continuing to read more by Davis and would like to thank her for the opportunity to read and review her novels as they have all made it on my top favorite list and I am immensely grateful to be involved in her reading team.

Glitch by Hugh Howey was a short story I had seen on Amazon's Kindle Unlimited. At the time, I was pretty busy and had little time to read, so I had been looking for something short and fun that I could read in one sitting. Glitch was just that.

As the story was only about 15 pages, this will obviously be a rather short review. 

It is quite amazing how an author is able to create such a captivating story in only 5,000 words, but Howey manages to do just that. While the concept does sound reminiscient of things such as I-Robot, Glitch is something unique all on its own. The writing is perhaps what sets this story apart from others of its kind. I felt completely immersed in the story, as well as wishing there was more once I reached the end.

I would highly recommend this. Especially for those out there who enjoy a good science fiction story, and of course, robots. At only 15 pages, even if you decide that it is not for you, at most, you have only wasted a few minutes. Check it out!

When I first read the synopsis of The Curse of the Bruel Coven, I was immediately intrigued. It has been quite a while since I read a good witch novel, and while the plot did sound a lot like other novels I have read previously, I decided to give the book a try.

Unfortunately, it was very much like previous novels I have read. Beautiful Creatures was a series that came to mind a lot while reading this. However, that is not to say that the book was not enjoyable, because it was. But I felt it was lacking in certain areas.

One of the things that bothered me the most was how easy everything seemed to be; by that I mostly mean how quickly conflicts were resolved. Vivienne's mother dies and it really does not take too long for her to discover she was adopted. She also was able to find her biological mother fairly quickly as well. Then once she finds her biological mother, Claire, she disappears.

When Vivienne learns of her true heritage, how her family is part of a coven of witches, she dismisses the idea believing them to be crazy. However, the dismissal is shortly lived as she quickly accepts that her family is not in fact crazy and she is indeed a witch. Once she accepts who she really is, it really does not take too long for her to master her powers. And that always really irks me in novels. I feel as though to master magical powers, or special skills, it should take some time. There was also one point in the novel where she was truly afraid of a certain character (who shall remain nameless to avoid spoilers) and then a few pages later, she immediately gets over that and trusts said character even though they had been considered an enemy for years.

After Claire vanishes, I honestly felt as though nothing really happened until the end of the book. You learn a lot about Vivienne's family history and such, but action wise, there was really nothing.

Overall, the book was enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone who likes witchy stories and quick reads.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to take a quick moment to give you an update.

I want to apologize for the lack of activity. I have a lot going on right now (work, school, life in general) so I just have not had the time to blog or read much to be perfectly honest. My problem is that I am having a hard time trying to balance everything going on right now, as well as I just do not seem to have much motivation. However, I am graduating from university in exactly two months, therefore, I will have SO much more free time to blog and read as finishing school will mean a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I have big plans for this blog after graduation, so just bear with me until then! Thank you so much for all your support and for your follows.
