Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share one or two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I shot him a look. "You know," I said. "this is your first time, so for full effect, you really need to recline."
"Recline."
"It adds to the experience." I told him. "Trust me."

Lol, you know, if I didn't already read this book, I'd think something else was going on that what really was...if that makes sense. I'm so tired I'm not sure everything coming out is coherent >.<
ReplyDeleteBut here is MY teaser!
"You already have a date for the balll?" Her shrill voice was a little too loud.
"Yes."
I heard Ashley shuffle her feet. "Well who is it?" she whined.
"Calla."
The beaker in my head shattered, I swore in glass shards buried in my palm.
Ren was instantly at my side. "Come on Cal, what did that beaker ever do to you?"
---From Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
Hahaha, I agree with Starry. I read this book a few years back but if I didn't, this quote would imply something else in my mind...something dirty xP
ReplyDeleteSo my teaser for this tuesday is from Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie
"Haven't you ever had a girlfriend?" she asked, then flushed because it sounded so high school."
"I had someone who loved me." he replied. And there it was, the despair. The horrible sorrow that lived deeply inside him.
"What happened to her?" she wrapped her hand around his and gave it a squeeze. "Maybe if you talked about it..."
"No one ever heard the story." he said. "God alone knows what I have done."
@Starry Night: You make perfect sense! At least, I understood xD 'Nightshade' is actually on my to-read shelf. Hopefully I'll read it soon!
ReplyDelete@Luna: I have that book sitting on my bookshelf. I bought it a few months ago in Canada. I'd love to hear how you like it :)
